Thomas Bible Story

Mark 16:14-16; Luke 24:36-48; John 20:19-21

Soon after this, Jesus appeared to Hisfollowers. They had been hiding in ahouse when Jesus Himself suddenlyappeared out of nowhere!

"Peace be with you!" Jesus said.The disciples were very frightened.They had locked all the doors. Sinceno one could enter, they thought Jesusmust be a ghost. He told them theyshould have believed the stories toldby Mary Magdalene. He wasdisappointed that they had notbelieved.

Then He said to them, "Why areyou so frightened? Why do you doubtwhat is in your hearts? Look at Myhands and My feet. Touch Me and see A ghost doesn't have flesh and boneslike I have!" Then Jesus asked forsomething to eat. He wanted to proveHe was no ghost.

He told them everything washappening just as it was written longago. The books by the prophets,Moses and King David had said thiswould happen.

"You have seen all these things.Now go into all the world and tellthem what has happened. That will beyour greatest job."

Jesus left the room. The discipleslooked at each other in wonder. It wasall too good to be true! Yet it was true.Jesus had risen from the dead! He waswith them again

The Story of Thomas

John 20•24-29

KkAZY8,140,Dedred to the disciples,one of the eleven was missing. Thiswas a man named Thomas.

After Jesus was gone, Thomas cameback to the room where everyone washiding. When he entered, the disciplestold him, "Thomas, oh Thomas, it istrue! We've seen Jesus! He's alive!"He said to them, "No. I won't

believe it unless I see the nail marks inHis hands. I have to put my fingerwhere the nails were. If I can put myhand into His side, then I'll believeyou."

Eight days later, Jesus visited thedisciples again. This time Thomas waswith them. Jesus walked right throughthe locked doors. fie stooa'th the

room. "Peace be with you," He said.Then He said, "Thomas, come herewith your finger and see My hands.Touch the wounds in My hand. Putyour hand into My side. Stop

doubting now and believe."

Thomas felt very ashamed for notbelieving. He hung his head, "MyLord and my God!"

Jesus answered him, "Is it becauseyou have seen Me, that you nowbelieve? There will be many who donot see and are still willing to believe.Those people are special to Me."

Jesus was talking about people likeyou and me. Do you believe or are youlike doubting Thomas?
