For hanging pictures there is achoice of using individual supports foreach picture, or hanging them from apicture rail. Individual supports rangefrom small plastic or metal picture hooks, which are simply nailed ro thewall, to heavy-duty fixings attachedwith screws — and wall plugs onmasonry walls. The choice dependssolely on the weight of the picture. Usesingle-pin picture hooks for pictureswith a slimline frame up to around 60 cm/2 ft in either dimension, and atwo-pin hook for anything of similarsize in it heavy frame. Use two hooks,one at each side of the frame, for pictures up to about 90 cm/.3 ft across,and switch to a screw-in hook fOranything larger. With picture rails, thestandard S-shaped hooks will supportreasonable weights.

HOW TO HANG A PICTURE
